BAIC Group (Beijing Automotive Industry Corporation), founded in 1958 in Beijing, is a state-owned automotive group covering ICE vehicles, off-road SUVs, and EVs through its sub-brands (BAIC Motor, BJEV, Arcfox). Its reputation rests on the rugged BJ off-road SUVs (BJ30, BJ40 Plus) and urban SUVs (X55, X7, U5 Plus). In Egypt, BAIC is distributed by Alkan Auto (EIM Group) since 2024 and climbed five positions to 9th place in Q1 2026, signalling rapid market traction. BAIC is also accessible in Morocco through local importers.
