Chery Automobile, founded in 1997 in Wuhu, Anhui province, is one of China's largest independent automakers. Its lineup spans the Arrizo sedan range and Tiggo SUVs from entry to premium, with Exeed as its upscale sub-brand. Core technology strengths include in-house developed 1.5T and 1.6T turbocharged engines, advanced PHEV systems (Tiggo 9 PHEV), and a rapidly expanding EV portfolio. In Egypt, Chery is the #1 Chinese brand by volume in 2025 — ranked 3rd nationally with 11% market share — distributed and locally assembled (CKD) by GB Auto (Ghabbour).
