Geely Automobile, founded in 1997 in Hangzhou, Zhejiang, is one of the world's largest private automotive groups — owner of Volvo Cars, Polestar, and Lynk & Co. Its BMA and CMA platforms deliver world-class safety and quality standards. In Egypt, Geely is distributed by two official partners — Abou Ghaly Motors and Automobility — who co-invested USD 250 million in a CKD assembly plant (BAMC, 6th of October City), launched January 2025. The Emgrand and Coolray are locally assembled; the lineup spans seven models including the Starray, Okavango, and the recently added Cityray. Geely is also available in Morocco through an authorised dealer network.
