BYD's DM-i system delivers up to approximately 1,000 km total range by combining the electric and petrol systems, directly addressing Egyptian buyers' concerns about the limited public charging network. The DM-i PHEV technology is one of BYD's most established and globally proven powertrains. At its price range, it competes against Chery Tiggo 9 PHEV in Egypt's thin electrified SUV segment. BYD plans a local factory for hybrid models, which could reduce future EGP pricing.
